As an alternative way of tracking Google Analytics data, many companies are now moving to the use of Google Tag Manager (GTM). This is another tool provided by Google which uses a different code snippet, but allows users to run Google Analytics as well as many other types of web tracking software through the interface.
The main advantages of GTM is the increased speed and flexibility of implementing new tracking code options, which can now be done by the marketing department, as well as the ability to track multiple actions or events on a website without the need to implement extensive code changes.
